 Industrial studies deal with advanced fluid mechanics problems. We use ACRI-CFD tools (CFD Studio, ANSWER, PORFLOW, TIDAL).

 Cooling of a sank tanker :

 Computation of the cooling time  of a sank tanker. Analizis of  ERIKA's and PRESTIGE's cases.  The calculation deals  with  internal fluid movements induced  by natural convection and the  cargo's cooling time.

truck fire in a tunnel A86 tunnel :

Study of truck fire hazard in the future Rueil-Malmaison interchange and propagation of smoke in a confined medium. This computation was realized for SETEC TPI in the field of simultation of fire in the interchange. A tridimensionnal model in the iterchange was built, during a truck fire.

Flow computations in river around bridge piles. These tridimensionnal simulations were realised with ANSWER. Our work :

  • Structured mesh in the far area,
  • Hydraulic steady and turbulent calculation in the river's bend,
  • Non structured mesh near de bridge piles,
  • Steady and turbulent velocity computations around piles.
